The Dinner of the Chefs in Palais de Versailles - France

The world’s most expensive dinner will take place in Paris on 17 September 2008. Sixteen renowned Michelin chefs will serve the crème de la crème of gastronomy to 60 exclusive invited guests.

40 Michelin stars in one glorious kitchen
The Dinner of the Chefs is a global tribute to artists of fine food and drink. Yannick Alleno, Sébastien Bras or Christophe Michalak: established chefs, whose names sound like bells to the ears of every connoisseur.

There will be 15 courses, each containing the skill and passion of its chef. In total, 40 Michelin stars will serve up the most prestigious and refined delicacies in the world.

Fabulous décor
Not only is the dinner exquisite, each detail of the event bears witness to pure class and artistry: the guests will arrive in chauffeured limousines, be received with cocktails in the elegant gardens of Queen Marie-Antoinette, dine in the grand Salon des Cotelle of the magical Palace of Versailles,

be treated to magnificent recitals of live baroque music, admire a lavish display of fireworks over the gardens, and stay overnight in a luxury hotel. And, to top everything off, the lady and gentleman invitees will receive a special memento to take home.

To benefit research on Alzheimer’s disease
The proceeds of this once-in-a-lifetime culinary event will go to a worthy cause. The entire ticket price of 22,000 euro per person is being donated to The International Foundation for Research on Alzheimer’s Disease. In the last 10 years, the incidence of this disease has risen by no less than 30% worldwide. This charity organisation will provide funds for further specialised research.

First come, first served
On Wednesday, 17 September, only 60 persons in the world will have the opportunity to be seated at the table. The event will be held in Versailles outside Paris from 7 in the evening to 12:30 just past midnight. Sounds too good to miss? Reservations are being made according to the democratic principle of ‘first come, first served’!
