The Space Tourism Company Galactic Suite already has about 40 reservations made by tourists who in 2012 will travel to the hotel to spend four days at 450 kilometers from the Earth. The trip, which will cost 3 million euros, also includes 18 weeks of preparation for the tourists to acquire experience in space. This preparation will take place on an island in the Caribbean, where the participants can travel with their families.
The company is now working in the programme of activities that tourists will undertake during the four days.

“This refuge will offer a mixed programme of reflection and exercise to seize the unique physical conditions encountered in space”.
The first “SPA” in space
One of the most innovative experiences that tourists can experience is the bathroom in zero gravity. To that end, the team of engineers and architects of Galactic Suite have developed the spa space, the first spa to be installed at 450 kilometers from Earth, one of the modules of the hotel.
The spa will float within acontaining a water bubble of 20 litres. The tourist, already trained to avoid the effects of water in a state of weightlessness, can play with the bubble dividing it into thousands of bubbles in a never-ending game. In addition, the transparent sphere may be shared with other guests.
The new Galactic Spaceport Suite, the first commercial spaceport in the world, will be built on an island in the Caribbean and the project will be signed by the company Equip architecture, also based in Barcelona. Galactic Suite does not rule out building new spaceports in the future in other countries around the world, in order to facilitate accessibility to other hotels built in space to as many people as possible.
Programming four days in space
Tourists come to the hotel with all the necessary items needed to spend four days in space, as if they were arriving at the most extreme refuge on the earth. In this refuge a mixed programme of meditation/reflection will be as well as exercise to seize the unique physical conditions offered by the space and deepen the understanding of oneself.
Day 1:
Arrival and acclimatization
On arrival tourists will be offered an energy cocktail and will be welcomed to their rooms to leave luggage, rest and acclimatize to space travel. While the tourists rest, crew members will check system development. After the tourists have rested, and make a fully functioning hotel, the crew will make the first connection to earth so that tourists can greet loved ones and address the media upon request. Space tourists will be allowed to boast a bit. Diner is made for all and after eating, tourists and crew will withdraw to their rooms to rest after the first day.
Day 2 and Day 3:
Excitement and meditation
Corporate module: Travellers will be introduced to the possibilities of the body in weightlessness. These exercises are not required to keep in shape physically but are designed to fully experience the special conditions facing the human body outside the atmosphere. This will give the tourist a tape cylindrical endless bike where you can exercise your legs and arms.
The most amazing experience that can be found in module ‘corpore’ is the bathroom in gravity zero.
This is an activity specifically designed to float within a transparent sphere in which we will introduce a bubble of water of 20 litres. Mens Module: This module is more personal. It’s a space where tourists may be compiled privately to rest.
Also in this module the starry universe and the Earth can be observed as well as read, write, consult the media and to connect the Earth.
The module will be configured as a womb in which tourists can float in complete weightlessness. Areas of Velcro allow some controlled movements to read or stay comfortably while lying can be seen outside by screens placed in the area of the window will be available information regarding the position and velocity hotel as well as the search for geographical areas on earth or sidereal maps in the universe.
Using special cameras could be taken spectacular personal photographs may be sent immediately to Earth.
Day 4:
Farewell
The last day can be sad. There will be time to take pictures but the latest turn tourists must gather their belongings and everything that have brought with them or even waste that is generated by their stay. The hotel space should be ready for next tourists. Tourists and crew will toast with special drinks and dressed-up properly to enjoy the extreme conditions that will experience in the supersonic re-entry into the atmosphere in which forces would be tested grade 4G.
