Visit the Galapagos Islands onboard a luxury catamaran

Luxury Travel Butler recently visited Ecuador and hired the Catamaran Anahi. A great vessel indeed! A power catamaran boat built in 2006 in Guayaquil, according to the highest standards of luxury and comfort. The yacht just started to operate in June 2007.

First some technical info: the Anahi offers comfortable accommodation in 6 twin bed cabins (14 m2 / 151 square feet, each) located in the main deck and 2 suite cabins (18 m2 / 193 square feet each) located in the upper deck. All cabins feature private facilities, locker and closet and are air conditioned. Additionally, the yacht has ample resting areas, sundeck, library, TV-DVD room, comfortable dining room, bar and lounge and… jacuzzi.

Must see
With the Anahi, you can visit some of the more remote islands of the Galapagos Islands. Great to visit is the Española Island. Gardner Bay is a must! It provides an excellent beach for relaxing, swimming and an opportunity to observe sea lions. Here you can also observe sharks in the crystal waters of the ocean. And what about Punta Suarez: this rocky point of land boats one of the most impressive and varied colonies of sea birds in the Galapagos. Along its southern shore, high cliffs rise up from the sea giving the visitor spectacular views of flying birds.

Another great place is Charles Island. On this island, the so-called “Punta Cormorant” offers one of the largest and the best flamingo lagoons in the Galapagos. Apart from the flamingoes, you can admire many species of birds. The place is also interesting because there are two fascinating beaches: the “green” beach (thanks to high percentage of olivine crystals in the sand) and the “Flour sand beach”, made up of coral.

How to get on the yacht
After the airport check out in Quito and payment of entrance fees and taxes, you will be welcomed by the crew and the guide will transfer you to the yacht.
